The Animal Feed Industry

Almost everybody loves to have a pet, and most of them are the customer of packaged foods the animals. But very few are aware of the term animal feed which may refer to different kinds of food for different animals like forage – the growing plants consumed by livestock, compound feed – commercial pelleted food production in a feed mill and fed to domestic livestock or fodder, which is food including plants carried to be consumed by the domestic livestock. Also there is very less awareness of the animal feed industry and also that there are various categories of animal feed like camel feed, deer feed, horse feed, pigeon feed, ostrich feed, goat feed, pig feed, duck feed, sheep feed, cattle feed and poultry feed.

Horticulture is one of the main streams of agriculture and the term “Horticulture” is derived from the Latin ‘hortus’ ‘ garden’ and culture - cultivation, which means garden cultivation. The production of fruits, vegetable, nuts and ornamentals are all part of jobs in Horticulture. It provides a wide variety of jobs for many categories of people, directly or indirectly.
